What took me so long? That’s what I’m asking myself as I write this post. I recently visited Branson, Missouri for the first time with my family. I was excited to finally see why everyone loves this fun place. In this post, I’m going to talk about Branson Landing, be sure to subscribe to my newsletter for future posts on our time in Branson!
Sunday morning my family and I took a beautiful stroll on the scenic boardwalk. It was quiet and uncrowded, many of the shops were just opening up for the day. We spent time gazing out over the water, listening to the bird’s chirp, and feeding the ducks. It was such a beautiful relaxing atmosphere that we agreed to return the following day to shop, dine, and enjoy the spectacular fountains. Be sure to check out the Fountain Schedule, you won’t want to miss seeing the water, fire, lights, and music!
When we returned the following day our first stop was the Bass Pro Shop. This is one place you’re going to have to see to believe. Our family enjoys a variety of outdoor activities. Inside the 40,000 square-foot Ozark themed store you will find everything from fishing, camping, water sports, apparel, and so much more. My oldest daughter skipped around the store with pure excitement; she is a true enthusiast for outdoor exploring! For more details about this amazing shopping, venue click here.
Next, we devoured a delicious lunch at the White River Fish House. It was a beautiful day. We asked to be seated outside to take advantage of the crisp autumn air. Our girls were excited to discover some friendly resident ducks swimming happily around our eating area. It was the perfect setting for a relaxing lunch with my family. We enjoyed New England Clam Chowder, Fish & Chips, and Maple Glazed Salmon. The salmon was the best I’ve ever eaten and the homemade pecan butter is simply unforgettable!
After fueling our bodies we leisurely explored the shops. There really is something for everyone to enjoy. My husband, who usually has to be bribed to go shopping, thoroughly appreciated the activity. Although I might be guilty of encouraging him in that direction with a Starbucks coffee that was located across the street from the fountains.
The hourly fountain show is spectacular! It captivates everyone around when the water starts shooting and the cannons begin blasting all choreographed to lights and music. If you visit Branson, I would add this to your must-see list! This attraction was created and designed by Wet Design. You’ve probably seen their work before. They’ve produced world-class shows for Downtown Disney Marketplace in Orlando, Universal City Walk in California, and the Bellagio in Las Vegas!
