The One Thing You Need To Know About Toy Story Land
Did you know that the very first Toy Story movie was released in 1995? This was one of the classics from my childhood. There were even times, when I was a kid, that I would look over at my toys and secretly wonder if they came to life when I left the room. It was a fun idea and I loved that the main characters of the movie felt like my personal friends.
I had the opportunity to explore Toy Story Land during a media preview before it’s grand opening. I’m sharing with you the ONE thing you need to know about Toy Story Land which is that Disney did an amazing job creating a land that captured the very things we’ve grown to love while watching these movies for the past 23 years. Now, we have the chance to play in Andy’s backyard and experience a piece of our childhood with the next generation of Toy Story fans.
“Hey, hey! Come on, Potato Head! If Woody says it’s all right, then, well, darn it, it’s good enough for me. Woody has never steered us wrong before.”. – Slinky Dog
The Land My Kidself Would Have Loved
As I walked around Toy Story Land I felt like an excited kid which is when I realized that they had created a space that fans would love. The entire land was designed to make you feel like you’re the size of toys and that you’re playing in Andy’s backyard. The number of thoughtful details that you’ll discover around the park will make you feel nostalgic and appreciative all at the same time. Toy Story is a classic and I was hoping that the land would stay true to all the core reasons why we love the movies and I’m happy to say it did.

This roller coaster is both fun and exciting. I love how they’ve incorporated a few surprises along the way! The height requirement for this ride is 38″.
Alien Swirling Saucers
This is another great ride for all ages! This is a much milder version of the famous teacups ride.
There are so many fun details in the park that keep the theme of the land throughout! Check out how adorable these signs are!
Of course, it wouldn’t be Walt Disney World if our favorite characters weren’t there to have fun with us!
Don’t forget to pick up some new merchandise! Our personal favorite is the slinky dog ears that we think will be loved by all!
Sometimes, if you catch him at the right time, Buzz might have something he wants to tell you.
Remember, when you’re walking around Toy Story Land that you are now the size of a toy in Andy’s backyard. The size of the lights strung in Andy’s backyard is a fun reminder of this!
The green army men are easily one of the most entertaining toys in the park. We watched them photo bomb guests photos and make guests participate in fun backyard games. Watch the video below to see for yourself.
Even the bathrooms make us smile! See if you can find the scrabble piece that’s used at the water fountain!
There are many other great features of this land but I didn’t want to give it all away. This includes all of the delicious food options from Andy’s lunch box. You can visit Toy Story Land at the Hollywood Studios Park. When you’re there say hi to our friends Woody, Buzz, and Slinky Dog. As you might remember, they are very big on friendship!
From now on, you must take good care of your toys. Because if you don’t we’ll find out, Sid. We toys can see everything. SO PLAY NICE!! – Woody
