Ford Is Giving Families More Of What They Need: More Everything

Let’s be honest, almost everyone spends a huge amount of time in their cars. As parents, my husband and I know what we need and want out of our next vehicle. Each phase of life presents us with a new set of challenges when we are looking to match the right car with our current needs. This is especially true in several key areas–space, safety, and connectivity, all of these have become front running must-haves.

Our current automobile has prepared me to find a vehicle that better fits our needs as family travelers. Whether we are taking off on a long road trip or just towing our ATV somewhere for the weekend, I need something that can hold up to our lifestyle. As we shifted from a family of four to a family of five, we found that SUV’s with 3rd-row seating options were best for us. The new 2018 Ford vehicle line-up is exciting and I can’t wait to share with you why.

Why I’m Looking Forward With Ford

I want to start with–why. I can give you all the facts on the all-new 2018 Ford vehicles (the facts are impressive) but I’d like to start at the beginning and explain to you why Ford is creating vehicles that are ideal for families. Ford recognizes that women have a growing influence and are one of the loudest voices in the car buying process. They use this knowledge to improve their vehicles based on what women are saying they want to see in their next car. Smart move Ford, smart move.

Looking further with Ford. There are many reasons why I'm impressed by Ford.
I enjoyed learning all about how Ford is looking further into the future to design better cars.

For the first time ever Ford is designing cars with five generations in mind. People are living longer and they are taking that into account. At a recent press event, I learned that Ford has it’s engineers wear a third age suit that is designed to show the person wearing the suit what physical limitations elderly drivers face. They also have an empathy suit that helps them understand what driving is like for 6 months pregnant women. How does Ford look forward–they experience first hand what we need!

I love all the extra pockets and space in the EcoSport, don't let it's size fool you.
Look at all the space in the 2018 EcoSport! Don’t let it’s size fool you, it can carry a lot!

By 2020 Ford will have fully autonomous vehicles….I will give you a chance to let that sink in for a moment.

You Ask and Ford Delivers

I can remember when I was taking college classes and I had to drive to Starbucks and pay to use their WIFI because I needed to finish writing a paper. Times have changed! Advancements in technology and the complete integration of it in our everyday lives has made it necessary for car manufacturers to get on board with these changes. The 2018 Explorer and EcoSport has a WIFI hotspot that allows you to connect up to 10 devices and can be used up to 50 feet away from the vehicle. This is what I like to call a “game-changer”. We may not always be connected when we are in our vehicles but I want it to be an option.

Safety and What It Looks Like

What does safety features in a vehicle look like? Ford is launching their Safe and Smart package with the 2018 Ford Explorer. Blind spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, lane change assist, and park sensors are all reason why the Explorer is at the top on my vehicle wish-list. Safety is my top concern, I carry around precious cargo as all parents do. There are some things you can compromise on when purchasing your next vehicle but safety features are NOT one of them.

The 2018 Ford vehicles are great for families! Check out why!

Things You Should Know About The 2018 Ford Vehicles

I love the 2018 Expedition, Explorer, and EcoSport, here are a few reasons why:

  • The Explorer has a panoramic sunroof, this helps families not feel claustrophobic in a vehicle together.
  • The EcoSport has hidden storage pockets all over the vehicle! Making it perfect for storing snacks, chargers, and more.
  • You can access the 3rd row without moving your car seat out of the middle row in the Expedition. INGENIOUS!
  • You can charge your device at every seat in the Expedition.
  • Typically, 3rd-row seating is not as comfortable as the 2nd row but this is not the case in the Expedition. Traveling with a large family doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice comfort and space.
  • The 2018 Explorer has  SYNC Connect which allows drivers to locate their cars/check vehicle diagnostics from anywhere.
The 2018 Ford vehicles are build with families in mind. You can access the 3rd row without moving a carseat!
Isn’t this the best thing since sliced bread? You can move the 2nd row to access the 3rd row in the 2018 Ford Expedition without moving your car seat! Every parent in America just cheered!

It’s time to hit the open road and explore this great big world one town at a time. Thanks to Ford and their commitment to designing vehicles with families in mind, we can now travel comfortably, safe, and in style.

Sharing is caring!
