Peanut Butter Cheesecake Sopapillas

Delicious peanut butter cheesecake sopapillas with a creamy filling and flaky top and bottom layer. You can serve is warm or cold. It pairs nicely with coffee.

  • 2 rolls crescents
  • 2 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp peanut butter
  • 1 cup sugar


  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate
  • 3/4 cup whipping cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp chopped peanuts


  • Preheat over to 350 degrees.
    Grease a 9x13 baking dish.
    In a bowl mix together cream cheese, egg, vanilla, peanut butter, and sugar. Mix well preferably with an electric mixer.
    In the 9x13 dish roll out one of the rolls of crescents.
    Next, add an even layer of the cheesecake mix.
    Roll out the last roll of crescents as the top layer on top of the cheesecake filling.
    Bake at 350 for 25-30 minutes or until the crescents are golden brown and cooked all the way through.
    In a small saucepan over low heat mix together the whipping cream, chocolate chips, stirring constantly.
    Once the sauce is smooth remove it from the heat and add the vanilla extract.
    Allow the sopapillas to cool before applying the chocolate sauce and the chopped peanuts.
    Serve warm or cold.
